Handmade soap the old fashioned way. Our Pioneer soap is made from 100% lard and is reminiscent of the days of old.

Traditionally, lye was leeched from hardwood ashes and mixed with lard to make soap for bathing, laundry and other cleaning chores.

In Pioneer times, soap was available to be purchased but most had the ingredients readily available on their farms and it was cheaper to make it themselves.

This soap is naturally scented using ground dried rose buds and may be a bit prettier than what traditional soapmakers may have turned out, but its the real thing. Made, molded, cut and packaged by hand.
